Next to Silence

Next To Silence takes its name from the genre-defying music recorded and released on the German record label ECM, whose motto is “the most beautiful sound next to silence.”

The contemporary music featured on this show exemplifies the many exquisite ways that sound and silence blend together to create music that can be subtle, dramatic, haunting, captivating, and often transcendent.

These shows cover many genres of music. They feature the ECM catalogue, along with other unique labels; highlight important and innovative artists; and present unique and playful themes.

Next To Silence streams live on: Mondays @ 7:00 PM, Tuesdays @ Noon, Fridays 7:00 PM
